Gorgeous palace near Monção with a rich setting and history that can be appreciated through an inexpensive guided tour. The place is known for its alvarinho white wine/vinho verde, and you won’t regret it. It’s probably one of the best whites I’ve ever tasted. Should’ve...More

We loved our tour of Brejoeira, which we paired with a few local winery tours on the same day. Brejoeira’s own Alvarinho is excellent, and we bought bottles to take home! I personally loved how interesting the history of this palace is, being that it...More

A wonderful stop on the road out of Monção. Our guide was absolutely charming and told the fascinating story of the palace (schoolboy Portuguese needed). The theatre is the best bit.

A beautiful palace and beautiful gardens with a rich history. The visit is very nice but also overpriced (5 euros for the palace visit, plus 2,5 extra for a short tour of the vineyards. Skip the tasting, the wine is really not worth it; there...More

What a strange set-up! We were looking for the Palacio but initially drove past the entrance, when we saw what looked like a barrier that you would see when entering a multi-storey car park! After turning around and going back, we were met by a...More
