The beautiful square where the church is located was perfectly manicured and the greens and golds of the flowers complimented the external beauty of this church. This is the first time I've ever been in a church at the same time that the gold gilting has actually been going on. The smell of it is incredibly pungent. Anyway, I sont think I've ever seen any interior so golden! The altarpiece has to be seen to be believed. I've done my best with the pictures for you all! Work of art. Both the inside and out are a delicious sight for our eyes. You dont have to be religious to like or appreciate how much history is contained within church. The perfection and detail are present wherever you look. It's a must to visit if you go to Braga.

To pair with Basílica dos Congregados, in my opinion its obverse, and equally stunning for the magnificent outside front - with its many roman inscriptions, carved symbols and stunning backdrop (especially at night) in one of the city's main plazas.
