It's a lovely place, small but full of history. And it's so ancient! I would prefer to see the fountain with water again, I think they should put it with some water just like Conimbriga roman city.

theres not much to see, but a video puts what there is to see in context. With imagination you could see that it was once impressive and important. worth a visit as its not expensive

There isn't much to this site but what is there is interesting. The video does help as there isn't a lot of other information beyond a pamphlet that you are provided with. Only the wall and the rock that the etchings are on remain, so...More

I recommend going here if you need a cool place to sit for a bit. It's only 1.85 euro. It is the remains of a pagan fountain that was once on site when the city was under Roman rule.

This is a difference type of museum where they have built an elaborate building to house the old well and set up a video to show how they believe it was constructed and explain the script still evident on the sculpture. Well worth a visit.

Almost nothing to see, just some rocks with a little water. There is a short video about de fonte, but it is really like a 10 year old giving a presentation at school. Not worth the 1,85 euro entrance fee.

Small sacred spring site now enclosed in a modern building but worth hunting out. Very atmospheric and staff very helpful.

Looking to get a short hop off the main tourist route? The Idol's Fountain is a unique, partially conserved ruin. The video explanation is in several languages and, to me, is less important than the look and feel of the ruin. Whether the statue and...More

This fountain dates back to the 1st century AD; it contains a mix of Celtiberian and Roman features and the place nowadays is very well preserved and of easy access. You will need no more than 30 minutes to visit it, which is perfect for...More
