So happy we decided to visit. This is a magical place and it is easy to understand why Pilgrims come here and climb the stairs. Fantastic panoramic views. Beautiful statues. Gorgeous grounds. Fantastic church.

Extraordinary monument located in Braga. Go up the whole staircase along the via sacra until you reach the basilique, then take some time to see the landscape from above, wander a little bit around the park around, maybe up to the boat lake. Then take...More

We went here as part of a tour. Gorgeous grounds. Our guide did not encourage us to walk to the bottom, but if you are capable, you should as it is a great view looking back up the stairs. You don't need much time here-maybe...More

Our coach took us to this large and distinctive cathedral with an impressive number of granite steps ( which we did not climb). I would have liked to see the view from the bottom but our coach was too large and was not allowed to...More

Used to be for pilgrims, but now is a tourist site as it is beautiful and affords gorgeous views of the region. Cafes on site. Pleasant church. Grottos with religious statues. And oh those steps!

Bom Jesus do Monte is a sanctuary but also a beautiful place with marvelous parks, view over Braga, the church, restaurants and hotel. Recommended: the funicular.

Amazing. Starting with the funicular. The symmetry of the steps, the beautiful statues, the incredible church, the chapels along the way and the City view. Would highly recommend it. A peaceful place. And coming down the steps was a breeze. Loved it.
