Beautiful Sanctuary

Wonderful architecture and well worth the visit. Took the funicular up and walked the way down. Suitable for kids above 5-6. Not accessible.

Aside of its amazing architecture and rich history, the view of the city of Braga is the best thing the Cathedral has to offer! Go on a sunny day and you'll get an amazing opportunity for great pictures!

Wonderful views, worth the steps (tram available!) and the slight detour out of town - phenomenal views!

I loved this place It has a great view and monuments The flowers, the church the caveiras... There is something very interesting on your way out on the hill, you are driving going down the road if you stop the car, the car itself goes back even if you stop driving, it's a really nice adventure. Very spacious and clean... More

Bom Jesus is the main reason why we made the trip to Braga. We are so glad we did! The sanctuary is magnificent, hard to describe, just go and see for yourself! We took a taxi from Braga railway station (7 Eur), took us all the way to the top, then we walked down the stairs and took the bus... More

The Good Jesus cathedral just outside Braga is not to be missed. The inside of the church is cool (a 3-dimensional altar scene is unusual), but the drive there and the outside of the church are amazing! Unsure if public transportation goes there so a car may be necessary. You may find a parking space on your own, but the... More

was amused by the Bom Jesus do monte. It looks different from the usual sights/Architectures in Europe and so unique that I think you must visit it when you go to Portugal.

When we saw the pictures of Bom Jesus do Monte in a brochure in his van, we asked Daniel of Daniel Travel, who was taking us to Porto for a visit, to also take us to Braga. Some of us could not do the steep steps down to the lowest steps to take great pictures, so Daniel drove us to... More

If you are in Braga, you must visit. It's as simple as this. Whoever you are, you will not regret. Just go there.

How beautiful! The location has stunning views in the valley. The sculptures were outstanding and very meaningful. This was a stop on a long trip. Be sure to take the tram down the hill.

Thank Paul A
