Underwhelming square just off the old town area with some overpriced restaurants for tourists. Disappointingly the fountain was not in operation when I visited.

The main square of Braga. Very nice to stroll along the centre which is pedestrianised. It has a fountain which was dry on my visit, and a bandstand with grassy areas which the locals lounge on while eating lunch. Some very impressive buildings chief among them the Basilica Dos Congregados. Well worth a visit.…

This square is full of flowers, it's very secure and clean. Children playing around some people selling portuguese chellnuts, and close have several other small square that have artists playing, coffee shops all around and, of course, is full of department stores.
