Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At the historic center of Braga, you will find the ancient "Palácio Episcopal de Braga" (literally, the palace of the archbishops of Braga). It was officially founded in the 11th century and, along the years, it has been built and rebuilt several times. The buildings on the Southern side of the palace, delimited by "Rua do Souto" and by "Rua Dom Diogo de Sousa", form a small square known as "Largo do Paço". At its center, a beautiful fountain, the 18th century "Chafariz dos Castelos". As a matter of fact, it is not exactly a square, but rather a patio, as no gardens or lawns or benches are seen. Since 1973, these buildings house the rectory of the University of Minho. A quick stop, a few pictures and you are done. Enjoy!

Largo do Paco is a public Square in the beautiful historic centre of Braga. It is part of the Episcopal Palace and of the local Minho University. The Square itself is really unremarkable, except for the beautiful fountain in the middle of this public space. The fountain is called Chafariz dos Castelos, or Fountain of the Castles. The buildings surrounding this are part of the Episcopal Palace belonging to the Archbishop. This might explain a few things! The fountain itself was not working when we visited, but it was lovely nonetheless. There are no trees or any greenery in the square, at least not when we visited. It was absolutely bare! Bear in mind that many squares in European cities are like that anyway, so that's probably no surprise! Perhaps the scene changes on special occasions. There are quite a few shops in the area, like restaurants, cafes, tourist shops and so on.

Just in the center of the city, nect to the cathedral. Is a "must" if you visit the city and very typical architecture.
