It is short climb up beautiful stairs. There was an art exhibition on every floor. The view from above looks down on the beautiful gardens. Free entry.

Great view of Barcelos city, the river and old romain bridge. It has a small museum with local art and a lift to the last floor (not to the roof).

This tower/small museum/gift shop is right in the main square in Barcelos. The walk to the top took two minutes. If memory serves me correct, there is even an elevator. The views from the top were amazing overlooking the city and the surrounding countryside. The...More

The tower has been restored in a smart way. You can climb the stairs or take the lift. The access is free and there is a permanent exhibiton of local pottery which is quite interesting. Also there is entertainment for the kids, which never hurts....More

Barcelos is a small city but once you get at the roof terrace of the medieval tower, there is plenty to see and admire: the city, the river and the mountains shaping the skyline.

The tower itself is very beautiful. From the outside, its preserved back in its original state. In the inside, it is possible to see local handicraft expositions. I'd rather see some kind of local museum inside, but I liked the visit. It deserves visiting if...More
