We came upon Santa Caterina Park as we strolled into Funchal from our hotel so wandered in and we were pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful park, well worth a visit!

Pretty garden with ornamental lake with swans and ducks. Not far from the sea front and in the main town. Nice place to while away an hour or so relaxing.

Sorry, no I didn't see one. We walked through the park 3 or 4 times. There is a building at the bottom end of the park that was having work done on it but not sure what it was
