Close to the golf course but if you are driving, it's not clearly marked. You can bus or taxi and there is parking in the gardens. There is a tearoom on site. The gardens a lovely at all times of the year.
We wondered about visiting the gardens in early March. Many of the plants were just beginning to bloom, but, the spring flowers were out in all their glory. A wonderful way to spend a peaceful afternoon surrounded by beauty.
I was a little disappointed with these gardens compared to the other gardens I visited here. The price was quite expensive for the size and I much preferred the Botanical gardens which were also better value for money.

Due to two cruise ships being docked, there were enormous queues for the cable car to either Monte Gardens or the Botanical Gardens so we decided to visit the Palheiro Gardens - blissfully quiet, barely more than a dozen visitors! The information centre in town...More
Wonderful gardens with more breathtaking views. Also included was good wildlife. Saw our first ever firecrests, then saw Atlantic canaries. We used the local bus but be careful of return times if you travel at the weekend. 1.95 each, each way.

Hello - no we do not have an indoor badminton court. Outdoor Tennis court yes, croquet outdoors yes, golf yes, spa yes, walking trails yes...but no indoor courts (weather is too good!!)
