Despite the plain exterior, this is a delight inside. Not a vast space but beautiful. Beware - it closes from 12.00 until 3.00 every day.

Exterior of the cathedral is swathed in scaffolding and netting due to renovation works on the tower but the inside is beautiful. Worth a visit but bear in mind it is a holy place and not a tourist sight!

So easy to access and definitely worth a visit. Lots of worshippers and one feels one might intrude so we tried to be very quiet and respectful whilst admiring the alter and the lovely roof. A peaceful interlude.

The Cathedral is undergoing extensive exterior work at present. The interior is fairly plain for such an important building but it does have an impressive altar section. The organ is also surprisingly small for a main Cathedral.

The Cathedral is as you might expect from a European Cathedral: darkly religious with complex gilded carvings, where English Cathedrals tend to be full of light. Worshippers are much in evidence, kneeling on steps, seated in pews, which encourages visitors to be reverent. The Chapel and the Altar itself, are both beautifully ornamented - and in a quite different way,... More

A peaceful place to retreat from the town and take stick. Lovely ceiling and a good feel about the place.
