We loved strolling along this lovely Avenue. First impression like everything else in Madeira it is spotless. Put,s many UK Cities to shame as it is so litter free. Enjoyable walk to cable car Area.

Nice and easy stroll along the front and enjoy the warmth of the morning. The walk is punctuated by some 'unique' art and in a small town like Funchal only takes an hour or so.

This once tranquil spot, where you could enjoy a relaxing stroll under the shade of the trees, is now a seething mass of commercialisation. The same can be said for most of Funchal. Once a pretty little town, with several distinguishing landmarks and easy to...More
