Again very steep hills up to the very interesting castle, there is a bus possibility (3 Euros), which you can buy also in the ticket office with the entre fees, which are 9 Euros for Adults and 7.50 Euros for seniors over 65. Many nice...More

Must visit place if you come to Sintra for a panoramic view. From here you can see palace around there, even the sea if the weather was good. Ticket to visit is not expensive if compare with another attraction around EU. Should spent time to...More

We arrived at Pena Castle with our cruise group and took the shuttle bus up to the palace. It was located uphill and the ruins of a craggy Moorish castle overlooking a sleepy village. There were also many things to see inside the Palace. Sintra...More

4 hours traveling and queue time half an hour in queues meandering through this palace is enough for a group of well travelled people to say this was the worst day they had with little or no benefits. So really think when you arrive the...More

We took a bus that went right to the doorstep (but we alighted first at the Moorish Castle to buy tickets because we were worried that the queue outside the palace was very long). The slope or shortcut leading up to the palace was steep...More

I think Portugal is relatively inexpensive. But the visit to Pena Palace is not. Aside from the hefty entrance fee, you would need transportation to get to the palace from The town center of Sintra. It’s not very far,but it’s steep uphill and extremely narrow...More

Sintra is a must-see must-go must-everything destination. If you are in Portugal, make sure you don't miss this town. We came from Lisbon by Uber Taxi. The ride was joyful, but the destination was even much more enchanting. The taxi drove us up the hill...More

As someone who's tired of European castles, this one that seems straight out of a fantasy novel is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's colorful, lively, easy to visit (circular!) and really beautiful (inside as well). the gardens and view of the Atlantic are...More

The area itself is magnificent. Went here on a day trip, but I feel a multiple night stay is justified as there is so much to see. Took the bus to the Pena palace which is an adventure in itself. I can not believe how...More

The Pena Palace is of course a major tourist attraction so expect lots of tourists! My advice would be to get there as early as possible before the crowds become too unwieldy. There is a bus 434 which starts from outside the railway station at...More

We walked there (even walked all the way up to the Pena Palace from the train station). Depending on how you like to walk, it's a nice place to visit all by yourself but you don't have all the historical info.
