Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The 25cl beer was 4€ and it came in a terrible plastic cup. We went for a concert and the vocals could barely be heard, while the drums were hurting our ears. These places should have professionals handling their sound, and would have more clients with a fair price drink menu.

The band's were great, wish they played somewhere else.

Dead empty around 6:00 pm on a sunny weekday. I had to check if the place was open. I get the concept of repurposing shipping containers into restaurants and shops. There's a good one in London's Shoreditch, for example, but where was everybody here? Oh, they were at the neighbouring LX Factory. Pity, because this place looked interesting and could be jumping with better promotion.

The staff was tired, the toasts were very bad, using canela oil instead of olive.no taste and cold.the limonade as well. Nothing more to say except from a not interesting hipster experience..

We came across this after visiting Pilar 7 and it was a great fun place to stop for a drink. It was Christmas Eve and so they were closing early and we couldn’t eat there, but great vibe.

A very quirky spot near the river and LX factory. It consists of several double decker buses and interlocking containers to make a very quirky cafe.

Came across this place by accident when visiting the Carris Transport Museum and seeing the crowds heading towards the Village Underground. As a North Londoner the original Village Underground concept in Shoreditch East London is very familiar to me and there are many positives about this space of theirs in Lisbon. The innovative use of old London double decker busses and disused shipping containers to form an interesting bar, café and music space, (there was a DJ doing a set with a small dance floor in front on the Saturday evening we visited), a skate park for the small ones and a small space for independent traders to sell their stuff and despite what I am going to say next we quite enjoyed our visit and I would recommend people to visit and take a look before moving onto the LX Factory next door.
But I had one major problem with this space and concept and that was the clear intervention of Corporate Business. Firstly, there was a security presence at the entrance whose role was to remove you of any drinks before you enter, even water, something I really didn’t appreciate on a hot Lisbon day. And secondly although there were quite a few bars in the Village Underground, they were all selling Heineken and it becomes obvious that the place is set up to sell as much of their bland mass-produced product as possible. I’m sorry, but since when did Heineken International have any interest in creative local communities?
I don’t know if this is a permanent thing or we were just unlucky to visit when the site had been rented out to Heineken, but that side of the Village Underground Lisbon was a big disappointment and I really hope the owners of this site are not selling out their ethos of staunch independency and community focus that made and still makes Village Underground in London so visionary.

Steve, hello! We noticed that you must have come on a very special day. Our anniversary, which took place on May 5, with a cultural program of 18 uninterrupted hours, and therefore, some security measures had to be placed, such as not allowing drinks from outside. Although we have a relationship with Heineken (they're our beverage supplier), on our anniversary, we make a bigger partnership. But we are sure that Heineken respects all our artistic creativity/concept and has always supported all our decisions when the subject is to prioritize the local scene (since most of the musical / artistic / workshop of that day is from Lisbon).

Small place with buses. A cafe with few tables and some plantations around. Few people were there when we came. It’s near LX factory.

It's a cool place with a cool concept and is perfect for having a drink in a fancy place. It has a bar and there is also a small kitchen in the double-decker bus where you can eat something. The Village Underground Lisboa is located near the LX Factory (no direct connection, you have to walk around), right at the roadside. The area consists "only" of 2 double-decker buses and about 12 containers - so I wouldn't plan too much time for this place.
