If you just want to hear good Fado music without paying for a meal, this is the place to go. Seats are not numbered, so first in first gets, so get there at least 15-30 minutes before the start time. We were lucky to be...More

The show is only 45 min long and to be honest I thought it would be commercialized with you going in and out and you won’t be able to connect with the musician and singers. Boy was I wrong, the performers and singers are so...More

We had literally nothing to compare this to, but really enjoyed the 50 min show. The singers were extremely talented, as were the guitarists. Song choices were more upbeat, but still very soulful. Can see how it may be considered cheesy or touristy, as they...More

We were looking for a way to experience Fado without dinner. The show was perfect! The guitar playing was terrific! Both the male and female singer were excellent! We had heard that Fado was like the blues, but some of the songs were a lot...More

We were very keen to see fado performed, but weren't sure we wanted to commit all of one of our few nights in this amazing city to a long dinner and show in one place, and saw a lot of mixed reviews about the fado...More

This family restaurant is an amazing experience, especially if enjoyed when the Fado performers are scheduled to appear (usually on the weekend). The performers are often times just random everyday local people who come to the restaurant to share their culture and gift of local...More

The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally,
"squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers
plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can
stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its
streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and
