The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Belém
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.

I think Museu Coleção Berardo is the best museum in Lisbon.
1. Long-term exhibitions that can help to understand modern art very systematically 2. The updated exhibition is also a selection of representative artists, I like it very much
3.Also suitable for families to visit, there are often children can interact with the exhibition
4.Every Saturday the free exhibition is too good, run from the city, you can see the exhibition by the way

If you're into modern and contemporary art, this is worth a visit. It's a well laid out museum and not cluttered. You'll fine works by Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, Dali and Lichtenstein as well as other 20th century artists.

You'll probably only need an hour here.

Absolutely worth a visit. Don’t need more than 90-120 minutes. Just the building and gardens makes it worth it. Convenient location.

We were inspired with the collection! Some artists became a real opening for me, even there style. Some works are from 60s, but they sounds so actual now days!

The building itself is also a monument of modern architecture. You can get to the territory without paying and have a look at inner spaces, olive garden and drink a coffee with great view on the river.

There is also nice shop with books and cards inside the museum. I bought very unusual 3D cards with works of artists.

Don't forget to visit the second floor. You can investigate the history of art dated 1900-1960.

Amazing modern art museum and space. The handpicked items as well as permanent collection were well designed. For me, this was better than 7-8 floor huge modern art museums with a lot of everything. The 20th century collection took me 1.5 hours with audioguide. Staff was friendly and respectful. Will definitely come back again!

This is a brand new and very large art museum with all the contemporary artists you know and lots of masterpieces. Large and beautiful display space, never feels crowded. Beautiful garden with sculpture and views of Belem. Good food venues.
