And the answer is: NO as Sunset Bolueward is less atractive than Alberto Calatravas architectural and urban design. From the distnce it seemed as the wood of palm-trees. It seemed as squashed beetween higjrises, but in reality it is lush and sposh publc space, fullfilled...More

An uplifting train and metro station - superbly designed, big, shops/stalls in it. Even if you arrive here to go somewhere, do take the time to have a look around the station. It is a modernist approach to a utilitarian space - both functional and...More

We stopped here to go to Oceanarium. Pretty big, with shops, places to eat and a large shopping center next to it. From here you can also take the train to Porto.

As a rain station really well laid out and logical. Even if not catching a train check it out. The architecture is wonderfully modernist and i love it. Be aware that security can be sensitive about people taking pictures of the station and its interiors....More

We arrived from Madrid on the Trenhotel shortly before 8AM and the station was pretty much empty, which was surprising because I thought we would get caught in the "rush hour" crowd. A lot of the elevators weren't working so we needed to carry heavy...More

In a great location (Parque das Nacoes). Built for the expo of 1998, this is an architectural wonder. Easy to navigate and loads to see around it.

The Estacao do Oriente is Lisbon's busiest and (I think) most dramatic. It ranks with NYC's Grand Central Station in ridership. We should have gotten our tickets to Porto online, because the train was full. We stood in line for 20 minutes before discovering that....More

If you're planning a trip to Lisbon consider this: the public transportation is lousy: train, and BUS (CARRIS) : be sure to wait an average 20-30 minutes between transportation (when they do arrive, are usually, packed) , The public BUS (CARRIS) allows homeless people on board,...More

We came here a few hours early to catch our overnight ALSA bus to Malaga. Signage was clear, and it was easy to find our way around the station. The people at the bus terminal were also very friendly and helpful. This was a pretty...More

Anyone with Comforto tickets on the Alpha Pendular or Preferente or Gran Clase tickets on the Trenhotel make sure you get use out of the CP lounge at Lisbon Oriente. It's at least worth a visit for a quiet moment away from the hussle and...More

Parque das Nacoes
This neighborhood was built up at the end of the 1990s
mostly because of the Expo '98. The pavilions and
structures that once were the home of all the Expo's
attractions and exhibits are still culturally and
artistically significant. In Parque das Nações you'll
explore conference and concert pavilions, a shopping
center, trendy restaurants and an enjoyable cable car
ride you can't miss out on. On top of this, the

Station itself doesn't offer any culinary highlights, but like earlier one said, large and modern Vasco da Gama Shopping Center is right in front of the Station. Also there are several different hotels, bars, restaurants on... More

The clearest location to meet is the station side of the doors to the commercial centre. There is a small coffee stall there (not a café as such). This is on the lower level, under the escalators to the road level - but... More
