Fun pit stop

It is worth visiting, cause its so special. But its not sexy if your toilet is not clean. The Toilet-Ring was a mess, had to clean the Ring myself before I could sit. :(

No, seriously. That's all it is, a bathroom. So if you need to go pee and wanted to pay a dollar, then you should go. Lol. Otherwise, just use the bathroom in the hotel or restaurant you are at.

Ok, it was a good laugh to see the way they'd sold this WC using sex. However I don't think they'd approve if you actually had sex there... The many colours of toilet paper were a nice touch. Like I say, go once.

Even if you dont have to go to the toilet. Go and have a watch. Toilets are clean and you can buy funny stuff to your home. Price 1 euro

A toilet is generally a functional thing and sometimes a clean toilet can be hard to find in public places. I was therefore happy to pay the €1 charge to go in. I was quite dismissive of their claim as I approached it but the decor is a huge improvement on the standard appearance of a public toilet and the... More

We knew about this from Tripadvisor and then saw the large banner in the square so obviously wanted a look! For 1 euro you get to go in a large uni-sex toilet which is very clean. Each cubicle is completely private and you hand pick what colour loo roll you want! There is then a gift shop so you can... More

Everyone needs to visit the WC when travelling and it is nice to find one that is clean - even if you do have to pay for it. I was more than happy to pay for this convenience, as not only was this WC clean, it was like a miniature art gallery, complete with shop selling coloured toilet paper and... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
