Visiting The Se was definitely on my list. It's prominent in most images of the Alfama neighborhood. Although not super ornate the interior is beautiful.

Didn't really enjoy it, the church itself is not that impressive, the clausters have some old ruins but no kind of explanation, it look like they abandoned the place... then the treasure has some nice pieces, but its a very small exibition

Lisbon Cathedral is big, but not huge. It is also doesn't dominate the skyline like many cathedrals do, as it is hidden in the streets and alleys of the Alfama district. Built more as a 'defensive' cathedral rather than an architectural masterpiece, it is imposing...More

This is Lisbon's cathedral. The inside is quite impressive, large with an atmosphere that befits a cathedral. The cathedral is right next door to a number of interesting sites.

It differs from the standard, that's why I liked this beautiful cathedral so much. It looks a bit like a castle. Definitely worth the walk.

This imposing fortress like building is Lisbon's cathedral & was built in 12th century after the Christian reconquest. We visited it and several other smaller churches on our stroll down from the castle. It was nice to find so many open for people to visit.

Not your usual cathedral. Looks great from a distance appearing out of the roof tops. I found it underwhelming inside.

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply
"Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake
construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755
earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in
Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the
Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the
