LISBON ZOO – GO AROUND THE WORLD IN JUST ONE DAY At Lisbon Zoo, we invite you to travel around the world without leaving Lisbon. Find the Sumatran Tigers in the dense vegetation of the Rainforest, observe lions, giraffes and elephants behaviour at the dry African Savannah and dazzle with the majestic flight of the colourful birds of South America. Our mission is to develop and promote a zoological and botanical park, as a centre of conservation, reproduction and reintroduction of endangered species, through scientific investigation and environmental enrichment programs. Along with education is a strong entertainment component that will ensure a great family time, always with the conviction that when visiting Lisbon Zoo you’re contributing to this great project of conservations of endangered species and their habitats.

Much of it was as other zoos. Daughter really liked the dolphin show. I enjoyed the cable car which covered pretty well the zoo from a "bird eye" view. Price of this was included in our admission. We skipped the "train" ride around on ground...More

Depending on the view-point, the zoo can present differing impressions. Early into our visit, we took the cable-car ride that takes you around a triangular course above the zoo. Whilst it is an interesting concept, that gives a different perspective of the property, it also...More

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Lisbon Zoo. As a student studying animal welfare, I'm always apprehensive of visiting zoos outside of the UK due to different welfare laws and standards, however I was really surprised and I thought the zoo was fantastic. There's a wide...More

A visit to the zoological gardens was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. It was hot, but there was plenty of shade. Much of the zoo is quite dated but the areas that have been modernised allow a good view of the animals. The...More

Very nice zoo, there are many different types of animals you can view from a very closeby. Beautiful And clean park, animals don’t seem to be stressed. Definitely worth the visit!

Chose a Sunday to visit this attraction, which in hindsight was not a good idea. We queued for about 50 minutes to get our tickets with only 4 of the 6 ticket booths open. What were they thinking of. The Zoo has a wide range...More
