A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

Was in Lisbon and found this shopping centre when out exploring. Literally walked round it in 10 minutes. Very small and not many shops inside and nothing exciting to buy very disappointing. Glad I found Centro Colombo much better and over 300 shops

I love walking around in Chiado, seeing all those people and the shops. It's like a different atmosphere where we loose track of the time. Really good!

Really modern mall. Many options to eat and buy.

It is a relatively small shopping center on several floors. You can get something to eat at the upper floor. The center looks clean and has also several ATMs at different floors. Other shops such as Stradivarius, H & M, Bershka are nearby. This shopping center is located at the nexus of streets where you can find several major international retailers.

My Wife and I visited here whilst staying in the Bario Alto district of Lisbon the sixth floor offers a great selection of Food at very good prices the whole floor is devoted to food. There are so many choices of eateries. I think maybe 15 different places including Mcdonalds.
We ate in the Brazilian place Chimarrão this offered a great buffet for 13 euros lunchtime is 10 euros. On one floor of the shopping centre there is great virtual reality experience where you sit in a chair and place a headset on your head. I chose one of the roller coaster rides which lasted about five minutes. The chair moved and offered a realistic 4D experience. This cost s 3 euros for 1 go and 5 euros for 2 you have a many experiences to choose from. In all the shopping centre offers many choices for all ages.

Located in the "Baixa" of Lisbon, Armazens do Chiado is a fairly small shopping center (compared to Colombo, Amoreiras and Vasco da Gama) Still it has good shops/stores and a good food court. Always busy, it has a hairdresser (Jean Louis David), Fnac, Sephora, Rituals, Starbucks, amongst many others. It s a good place to escape the summer heat. As for getting there, nearest tube/metro station is Baixa Chiado (Green and Blue Lines).

Located in the midst of many other little shops. The staff in all the shops were pleasant and helpful particularly in Sephora.

quite cleverly hidden in plane site an ok selection of shops slightly up a hill be care full when walking up slope as path can be slippy because of the type of stone used

Not only four levels of first rate shops but a food court to boot. Nice way to get out of the weather and enjoy the escalators versus the steps. Right in town close to everything.
