Best view over Lisbon

One of the nicest views over Lisbon. Not so known as other miradouros, this is a quiet place, for some reflexion. Must see at the end of the afternoon at sunset.

Don't miss the right street to arrive. Located in a popular district, this Belvedere should be visited on the morning to catch the best light. Wonderful view over the old quarter of the city. Close to a small chapel closed most of the time). Stroll around. Lose yourself in the small alleys. Feel the unique atmosphere of the old town.

It's a big hike up here (you need to be in somewhat good shape) but the views are the best that you're going to find. Also it's free. It's definitely worth taking the effort to come up here to take photos of breathtaking views of the city, but make sure you plan it for a clear day.

We took Tram 28 to the top; we got the driver to tell us the correct stop, as it was not obvious. Excellent 340 degree view of Lisbon, including the castle and 25 April bridge. We then walked back down to Martin Moniz metro station.

Best view on the city, especially at night! You can see both the castle and the 25 de abril bridge. Easily reachable from Martin Moniz with the tram 28. Asked the driver to tell you where to get off. It's not as crowded as the other miradouros yet, so don't miss it.

Walk up and enjoy the view, just gaze and enjoy... no facilities or restaurants here, just a peaceful, glorious view.

The title says it all. The view is amazing at whatever time of the day and night, clearly when it is not rainy or foggy. Reachable by car or on foot via a somehow steep uphill road, it has several benches and a kiosk where to buy something to eat or drink.

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
