The square is much like any other square in any city, but the little streets around it are more interesting to visit.

My partner and I loved wandering the streets and shops of Chiado. Lots of cork-based shops and cafes selling seafood!

Somewhat touristy, but full of fun and activity, with bands, vocals, performance artists, and very close to everything, including the Tram 28 and the Metro. Tons of cafes. Beautiful old churches.
