Don’t miss this. Just the hieronymus Bosch triptych of The Temptation of St. Anthony is enough to justify a visit.

My only regret is that I showed up to the museum two hours before it closed. I definitely needed more time here. For six euros per adult, I could have spent all day here with a break at the cafe to enjoy an espresso. The...More

I would have rated this museum higher but there is no audio guide available. It has a fine collection and is a very beautiful building but without the audio guide it was hard to appreciate it to its fullest. Seeing the H Bosch visit was...More

We decided to walk to this but got stuck the other side of the railway line which runs along the riverfront. Eventually found a footbridge and after a little while found the museum in a very quiet street. No queues which was a bonus. Nicely...More

I was surprised how many important pieces this museum holds. Not crowded and in a lovely neighborhood with some excellent restaurants. The gardens and terrace are lovely and the special collections always interesting.

As a Christian, I enjoy some art of Christ and the saints and artifacts from old churches, but this museum was just overwhelming with dozens of criosses and communion vessels and 15 th century paintings of Christ and scenes from the Bible. Half of this...More

I really enjoyed this museum. It is one of those places where you can get away from the crowds of tourists. Its collection of European art is well worth seeing with lots of big names. There is also a good collection of furniture, textiles and...More

Bosch, Durer, Cranach and many more - so many gems at a comparatively small place. You can see them all at once, national and international superstars of arts. And have a coffee in the palace garden - it's just lovely. I did love the place.

There is not really a good location for picnicking nearby. There is a small grassy area in front of the museum but that is about it. I did not remember seeing any picnic tables, but possibly there are a couple benches... More
