The Portuguese railways. Nothing special or different to the similar trains from other countries. Good conditions for travelers, pretty punctual, not very expensive.

We travelled from Faro to Lisboa for the day - a three hour journey by inter city train - it only cost us 44 Euros return in FIRST CLASS. How is that possible, This was proper first class. Tables, power sockets, wifi. WOW !

The train system is fairly easy to use and the trains are generally on time. They take you to most places you want to go, and you can avoid having a car. Good thing. Inexpensive.
