We stopped by Cabo de Roca on our way from Porto to Coimbra. It was quite a drive and I thought it was going to be a wild goose chase but I'm really glad we came. It was touristy, of course, as it is the most western tip of Europe. Even so, we enjoyed it and had fun there. The... More

It is ways away. It should be, since it is the most Western point of Europe. Once you get there, you will see that people get there by tourist buses, cars, public transport, bicycles, etc...just to see the beauty of this spot. The strength of the ocean, the wind from "somewhere beyond" Europe is mezmorizing. But be ready to spend... More

It's not full of history and the architecture isn't jaw-dropping, but Cabo da Roca is a landmark because it simply represents the most-western point of Continental Euorope. It does have a nice lighthouse and the ocean scenery also provides an interesting view.

We spent an hour here on our Portugal tour. The view from the cliff is amazing. We grabbed some ice cream on the way out and the kids loved it.

...or the start of continental Europe. You should visit this place in a sunny day, clouds will not let you enjoy this magic place. Perhaps a early hour visit will be better in order to avoid the crowd I use a bus to arrive here from Cascais. Near the tram station is a supermarket, under it there is a bus... More

The western most tip of the European continent, a calm place with amazing views, go late in the day in order to miss the tourist hordes.

Often is chilly and windy, and sometimes foggy. Nevertheless at this westmost spot of old Europe you can admire the strength of mother Natur and the power of the waves struggling with land's cliffs. After this visit you'll return to town with a renewed energy.

Beautiful sight, great scenery.crowdy around the central monument, but a walk on the side of it is highly advised.
