Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful beach in the Cascais area near the train station, I would say it’s a small beach with calm, clean but cold waters. This beach is shared by tourists and locals. The beach also has good facilities: bathrooms, showers, a beach bar, restaurant and parasols to rent. For me I loved the caves and rocks and the Rua Frederico Arouca street near the beach is full of bars and restaurants and souvenir shops.

We visited for the day from Lisbon and this beach was perfect. Nice and clean, with a lifeguard, a bar and toilet available, plus only a couple of minutes to the more traditional (no Irish bars!) side of town. The sea was freezing but our taxi driver said it was warmer later in the year. Would recommend!

We came for the day from Lisbon which I think took about 30min getting off a the last stop on leaving the train station we went left and headed down the main drag which was full of restaurants of all types looked fantastic almost as if it was off the west coast of California!
There’s also a large supermarket at the station if you forgot your sun cream or hat!
To get to the beaches when you come out of the station turn right as if heading back in the direction of the train. You will come across the first beach, this is lovely and the one you see empty in all the lovely photos. We got there in the afternoon and it was absolutely packed. However on our way we had been given good advice by a local who said to get off at the station just before the end and walk along the shore to pick your beach! All the tourists go to the first 2, wished we had listened as we ended up going to the last beach where the Station is , loads of restaurant and toilets near all of them , one beach is full of Little Rock pools but in my opinion if the little kids are going climbing make sure you all wear surf shoes or similar. All the beaches were lovely but try to arrive early. Would definitely come back to the whole area again

We stayed in Lisbon and just got a metro to Cais do Sodre and took a train to Cascais - took 30 mins and there are many trains leaving Cais do Sodre station. Just come out the entrance of the station in Cascais, cross the road and you will find Praia da Rainha which is a small beach but walk a bit further left and you will find Praia da Conceicao which is bigger, has toilets, bars, restaurant - absolutely perfect. There is a promenade that links Praia da Conceicao to Tamariz - a nice easy 30 min stroll and restaurants all along the way. It was a lovely way to spend a day at the beach away from Lisbon if you want to get out of the city. I loved it.

Fine golden sand beach well protected from the Atlantic Ocean. For us the water was comfortable at about 70 F/20C. Gradual entrance to the water, which is great for kids swimming or paddling.

Loungers and umbrellas available for rent.

Probably the most popular beach in town being very busy especially with the younger generation. Flanked by restaurants and plenty of activities

This is one of the most popular beaches in Cascais. Very clean and popular with families as many water attractions. Council maintains it every morning at 6 a.m

This is a wonderful beach close to the downtown area of Cascais. Luckily we could easily walk here from our rental house as trying to find a parking space in the summer is next to impossible. The beach is sandy and very clean and restaurants are within walking distance or right on the edge of the beach.

There are activities in the water about 200 feet from the shore. You pay 5 euros each and get 40 minutes of fun. Kids get brought out on a small board but adults have to swim. The water is icy cold even in August and I could not even stand in the water it was too cold for me.
