Turn a corner and here you find the most impressive panelled chamber of great height with wonderful paint and panelling, still not quite sure what this is used for but one can imagine it is for special formal occasions at the university.

I observed a student and her mentors questioning her through the Ph.D. defense with the head of school and public onlookers. This is a grant old hall and every ph.d defense takes place here unless the docket is too crowded. Great spectacle.
