This is my hometown station. The one I departed for Europe, later University. Still one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Has been modernised but the main building still is untouched. Great memories! Will always be part of my life. An icon in town!

The new station is beautiful, modern, and efficient. It is easy to determine which track your train is arriving on as well as being aware of when it is in the Station. It does, however, lack the character and the beauty of the old station...More

Like most older rail stations in Portugal, it has very nice glazed tiles (azulejos). Unfortunately, since the completion of the newer station, it's been left to rot (along with some of the neighbouring buildings, though unrelated).

Very good, modern railway station. You by tickets underground and take trains on several lines up there. Some conveniences can be found there such as ATMs, small cafe, and tobacco shop.

Nice and clean railway station. The building is in typical Portuguese style, covered with ceramic tiles.

The old train station is a great example of the famous portuguese blue tile work. Not in use now, due to the new station next to it, but still a great place to visit.

The old station is decorated with beautiful blue and white tiles, azulejos, so typical for Portugal. The new station is modern, clean and very nice looking.

Unfortunately, there is no such service in Aveiro's train station :\ However, if your bag is not crazy big and you'd handle to carry it around for 1 few minutes, I'd recommend you to stop in Aveiro anyway. Just go down the... More

Not that I am aware. When I traveled, it was a day trip so I did not have luggage.
