Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful garden, very well maintained. Right next to City Hall and Governor House. It has trees and plants from all around the world. Little ponds, waterfalls, windy paths... A little organic Cafe is a surprise with tea and treats. Wonderful place to experience history and life of Angra.

Peaceful Oasis in town -enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The azaleas are crazy beautiful right now as Spring is arriving. There are many birds who live in the park. If you visit at dusk you can hear the cacophony of the bird families' returning to their nests for the night. It is a riot compared to the peacefulness the rest of the day and just as enjoyable.

Visited this city garden and was amazed at the size and diversity. This well maintained garden has many areas with specific focus or design. The plant specimens are in great shape. Do not miss a walk up to the top for a view of the shrine to the Duke and the beautiful city views. Friends reported that the restaurant in the garden is excellent with many vegetarian/vegan options. In the garden is a free, little Library but unfortunately it was vandalized and had no books. If you go try and drop of a book to restart this wonderful idea of give a book take a book.

This wonderful garden is available to the public free of charge. There are many exotic plants many of them are named and the countries they represent. an entire team of gardeners were working on maintaining the order when we visited.
it spans the length of a hillside and is accessed by many steps, there are thoughtful seating areas in many places.

Beautiful botanical garden, with plants and trees from many parts of the world, with a pretty pink kiosk. We saw it with rain and then the sun came out and the contrast of colors was incredible. Very well maintained and next to the Angra Museum.

I was staying at the Azoris Angra Garden Plaza Hotel, so I had to visit the garden.
I loved the variety of plants there, including palm trees, hibiscus trees, and Carolinia trees. The atmosphere was quiet, which made it even more pleasant. Add to that a small waterfall, and a steep trail that led to the Alta da Memoria, the highest point in Angra.
The only negatives was: the gazebo was closed; and I never found the cafe that was supposed to be there. Nevertheless, a great place to rest and meditate.

This is such a nice place to spend a few hours. We loved it so much that we came here almost every day of our trip. There is something to see everywhere you look. The gardens are well maintained and so varied. It's a must see in Angra. The restrooms are very clean too.

The botanical gardens of Angra are a must see. This is easy to do without a guide, and is right in the heart of downtown. You are able to see all of the trees and plants that have been given to the island from other countries, very few are native to Terceira. If you walk to the top of the gardens, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the town. It is free, and there is a nice vegan restaurant on the premises.

Even in January the garden is a beautiful place to visit. I would suggest starting at the top and walking through the down. Beautifully manicured with lots of paths. Little streams run throughout. Even at this time of year very colourful.

I am a person who appreciates nature a lot, and without a doubt that your island has beautiful green places, full of flowers and plants that you feel like staying there forever.
Whoever goes to the Terceira Island has to go and visit this garden. I was there in March this year and had beautiful flowers from that time.
