This beautiful little street captures all the charm of Angra. The beautiful mosaic sidewalks offer a visual treat to all. The street is flanked by cute shops and restaurants, and there are lots of opportunities to window shop or purchase a souvenir or two. The little shop with Angra memorabilia is run by the nicest lady. Her English is very... More

So I gave Rue da Se 3 instead of 2 stars because I'm sure the settlers didn't think of tourism when deciding on cobblestone streets and sidewalks. The sidewalk is, in most places, about 18 inches wide with poles in the middle every so often. The street is hilly with lots of side streets branching off of it. The cobblestone... More

This is the main road in town, so you are walking or driving here if you are visiting. It is a wonderful cobblestone street with shops and restaurants as well as some historical markers/places.

What beautifully maintained gardens. This place was absolutely breathtaking and serene. After milling around in the gardens, we walked up the steps (lots of steps) to the top of the monument. The views were spectacular!

This is a great place to stop and relax while visiting the city. The gardens are very well maintained and are gorgeous. It's a local spot that you'll see young and old alike enjoying the serenity.

This is a great garden in the middle of the city. A lot of different plant from all over the world. Very nicely maintained grounds. Nice place to spend couple of hours strolling around or just relaxing. There is a monument/obelisk at the top of the garden and very good vegetarian restaurant/cafe right in the gardens. It is also next... More

Being the main drag of the city, walking the length is imperative! The town appears to be new to tourism, so don't expect many junk shops, crafty places, or T-shirt sales. I didn't even see an art gallery. It's a real working town! Cafes abound and I found at least 5 different brands of coffee being sold in town (yeah,... More

Narrow cobblestone street with shops on both sides. Pleasant walk but be advised it is uneven because of the cobblestone and on a hill so if you have mobility issues drive down the street to take in the history.
