Great place to visit! Wine is exceptional and the grounds are pretty. This place is worth the visit. This winery is run by 5th generation family.

If you know little about wine making, visit here. While the place is small, it is historic and provides a good overview of wine making on the Azores. Also, the wines are nice and you can buy some here.

We were met by a friendly and English speaking lady, who took us through the museum garden and hall. Very interesting display of wine making through more than a century.

Informative museum, very appealing demonstration gardens. Wine tasting (fairly expensive) of the products of this famous vineyard.

If you like Portuguese wine, go to the museum. You will get free samples. The vineyards are very unusual, they root on rooks not on soil. The wine has a smoky taste to it.

A visit to this museum was part of our full day bus tour with Azores Getaway. Beautiful grounds which I enjoyed more than the museum. They produce only White wine grapes here on Terceira. We were able to taste their dessert wine made from their...More
