Nice viewpoint of the most Western point of Sao Jorge. Go behind the lighthouse to see it. Don't go to close to the edge of the cliffs. The cliffs seem unstable.

There's a long, straight trail through farmland that runs past a whale watching point, eventually ending at the gate to the old abandoned lighthouse.
The lighthouse is well and truly abandoned, as earthquakes have made the land around it unstable. There's a signpost about local flora, which seems to also have been abandoned. Unless you're big into ruin porn and taking your life in your hands, I wouldn't recommend it.
I would strongly recommend climbing up to the whale watching point, and taking in the amazing view from there. It is steep and windy, but the view is out of this world and it's well maintained. Continuing on to the lighthouse, in my experience, isn't worth it.
