We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a lovely place. Stunning waterfall with a height of 70 meters. We have spent a good hour, taking photos and looking at the waterfall. Recommended!

Wonderful waterfall at the end of Maia. Such a lovely spot with a perfect picnic table to enjoy it. And the ducks! And on a hot day this is ideal as it’s in the shade but a lovely temperature.

Really fantastic! Immediately at the end of the road...i remain at least half an hour to hear the water falling and to observe the nature together with the ducks in the Little lake... a wonder of the nature!!

the waterfall was at its height this time, but unfortunately, most surrounding vineyards have been abandoned by the lack of residents in the village.still a must see place if you go to the island

We went when there was not a lot of water coming off the top and it was still amazing.
It is a very easy short walk to the base of the falls.
Standing at the base of the falls really gives a great perspective of how high and straight up these falls are, go.

To get here you get to drive all the way to the end of the island through the small villa of Maia. The short hike has a few rocks and a wooden bridge, but is well worth it. What an awesome waterfall!

There's some good scenic views around the island, but when you go down there next to the sea shore, there's not much more to expect except to see the sea. But when you get to the end of the road thinking about turning back, you find a lovely place with a waterfall with a small stream going straight to the ocean. It has a lot of ducks, and a table to have a picnic. It is a really nice place, tidy, all green with flowers and animals and water, what do you can possible ask more....

These waterfalls are a short walk past the end of the road in Maia. They had a good flow when we went because it had rained the day before. It could do with a few less ducks but overall with the old terraced vineyards, the ocean and the location of Maia as a whole it was well worth a visit.

If you visit the Maia to hit the saltwater pool, head down to the waterfall. It's a quick 10- 15 minute walk; just keeping walking down the street until the end...you will see it on the left. Every time that I've seen it, it is more of a trickle, not a full fledged waterfall. However, there are ducks that you can feed :) I walk to the end of the little path, sit at the picnic table and just look up. It's really gorgeous. Don't be surprised if you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere in a movie set!
