The landscaping is beautiful but there is not much of it. The staff is small but you do get a personal touch. By the way, there is a good locals restaurant nearby in a shopping mall: Restaurante Avozinha.

It was a nice walk from our hotel at the harbour to the garden. Inside there were some very bi and fascinating plants and trees. The cantina should be open, but nobody was there.

We learned a lot about the flora of Faial and also the flora that was added later in history. This is a great stop on Faial, particularly if you are headed off-island at the airport.

The gardens are committed to repopulating the native plants of the Azores. Gardens are divided to those plants that are native and those that are invasive along with an orchid house. Lovely place to spend a few hours

We had to watch a short movie which was moderately interesting. I suppose botanists would find it fascinating, but neither of us are that. The garden itself is very small and can be seen in a few minutes. It seems to have mainly the original...More

The garden is wild, left for Nature to take over. Not much to see and difficult to walk around. Great for bird watching!
