If you’re interested in wandering around a well preserved castle wall with great views this is well worth a couple of hours. You can add in the archeological museum for a small cost. It’s easy to imagine just how difficult it would be to attack...More

Yesterday we visited the castle and spent about an hour and a half there. The views all around were great and well worth the charge of €5.60 for two adults. There is a Cafe there and toilets which seem to blend very well in to...More

Really disappointed by our visit to this castle. The castle itself is stunning and well worth visiting. It's been well restored and it's surrounds are in good condition. But when more money is spent on a cafe erected within the Bailey in addition to some...More

A medieval castle that overlooks the city of Silves. The audio tour of the fort is worth listening to get the history. A great activity.

This castle is an amazing find. Located above Silves, it offers splendid views over the surrounding area. When we went (Dec) it was almost empty and was a fantastic place to visit.

very impressed with the low cost of admission, although I don't think its a place to take young children because there is no safety rail when walking round the wall

This is our second visit to Silves and we decided to look round the castle this time. The entrance fee is very reasonable and the leaflet is very informative as to what is what inside. You can walk along the walls and go into the...More

Up there is a few places for cars. I left down the street. Admission was about 3 €. You can walk on walls and there is a cafe. Nice views. Seen in 20 minutes.

There is a car park by the river and then we walked up to the town square and castle. Well worth the trip.
