This is the southern-most point in Portugal and Europe. The lighthouse was cool, but you had to pay to use the bathroom which seems strange. You can walk around on your own and take in the view. There was a food truck there which sold...More

Best part of this visit is the coastal view from near the lighthouse, especially to the north. Wonderfully coloured cliffs. The lighthouse is cordoned off now from public viewing, a bit of a letdown. Statue of St. Vincent is interesting. Gift shop is ok. Lots...More

Definitely not for the feint hearted. With stunning views all the way along the West and South coastlines with the Atlantic crashing against the rocks far below !!! Cape St Vincent is the most Westerly point of The Algarve, next stop, America.

Very special place known in shipping forecast as Finisterre. Amazing cliffs and views towards America! Don't go to the Algarve without visiting. Museum small but interesting, just watch prices in gift shop.

Get a coach, rent a car, hike ... just make a trip out there to this cape. It is the most south western part of Portugal and of mainland Europe. The view is almost magical and one can stand there for hours just admiring the...More

Great view of the ocean and cliffs. Great to visit, preferably in the early morning or late afternoon. Make sure to visit the lighthouse. It was closed when we were there, but there is a small restaurant. We took a short walk over the cliffs.

Here on a nice sunny day. There are beautiful views over the Atlantic. As others have mentioned there are vendors on the side of the road selling goods. There is a .50 EU charge to use the restroom. It is a popular stop for tour...More

We ended one of our hikes here, and took advantage to have a refreshing ice cream. (Lots of unique flavours.) There was quite a crowd here, but that did not keep us from enjoying the views and the general atmosphere. My one quibble is that...More

This was the end point of a cycle ride from Sessimbra (just S of Lisbon). It is a fitting end to a journey, and you can sense why is was the end of a pilgrimage route. The views are excellent but not somewhere I would...More

Hi Andre The bus stops right at the end next to the building where the lighthouse is located, along with the cafe and gift shop. It then parked up less than 100 meters from it. So you shouldn't be that far away at all. The... More
