The fortress itself has limited interest, but the setting is breathtaking, with a view onto the cliffs and waves in all directions. If you plan to walk or cycle from Sagres, remember that distances can feel much longer on a windy day!

The view from the cape is absolutely amazing, it is really something to see and behold. However, since it is almost alwqys windy there even in summer take some warmer clothes otherwise You will get cold as we did.

The bus stops right at the end next to the building where the lighthouse is located, along with the cafe and gift shop. It then parked up less than 100 meters from it. So you shouldn't be that far away at all. The stalls with clothes and souvenirs are further away back down the road.
