The views were amazing it really was a once in a lifetime experience. Horse riding through the forest and ontop of the cliffs seeing the ocean. Amazing and friendly service, felt very safe and really enjoyed my time. The horses were very well behaved also.

Booked a trail ride after spotting GM Equestrian on TripAdvisor.
We have been coming to Alvor for years and after the pandemic needed a holiday, it was our first time riding on holidays.
We booked before traveling out and paid deposit via bank transfer and balance paid on the day. So glad we did as they were booked out for the week of our stay.
Both Jose & Catia were so easy to talk to, so knowledgeable about their horses and have years of experience.
I have ridden before but it was my teenager daughter first time on a horse. She was nervous at first but lead the group of horses and was delighted with the whole experience.
The views were spectacular.
We will without doubt booking them again on our next trip to Alvor.
From speaking to Jose you can book directly with them (I did ours via email) or with Roisin from A22 Tourist Shop in Alvor.
From beginners to experienced riders it’s a fabulous time to view the sights around the cliffs.

Very nice people and the horses were calm and easy to ride! Definitely a good experience if you haven’t been on a horse before but alsot nice view watching for experienced riders too.

I had the best morning with such lovely humans and horses. I had a fear of horses that I wanted to tackle and so they were very understanding and kind (even though I was late). The views from the walk were beautiful and its clear the horses are happy animals and well cared for. A lovely lovely thing to do and a different way to see the coast line.

Amazing experience. The staff were so friendly and reassuring. The horses are amazing, so calm, well behaved and well trained. The views were incredible. Would absolutely love to do it again.

Had a wonderful experience with both lovely horses and people, and beautiful surroundings. Perfect for me with experience with horses, and my boyfriend who is less experienced.

Jose and Catia are great people who put all their clients at ease if they have any worries or no experience with horses. So when they say ‘No experience necessary’ they really mean it.
Also they stay on the ground, so if anyone needs any reassurance with anything they’re close at hand. I can’t rate them highly enough

This was definitely the highlight of my trip. Our guides were so lovely and interactive, horses were healthy and happy, we went along a trail and stopped on top of a cliff with a beautiful view of the beach and took a lot of pictures. I’ve never been on a horse before and was extremely nervous but the guides made me feel so at ease and I got really comfortable and felt like a professional at the end of it! Highly recommend!! An experience I’ll never forget, I just wish it lasted longer.

As a couple, neither of us had ever ridden a horse before but we're quickly put at ease by very friendly husband and wife duo who provide this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Alvor and an experience not to be missed. The horses are all very well cared for and incredibly well behaved (thankfully!). Highly recommend this unforgettable experience to anybody looking for a great adventure.
