Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great beach soft sand ideal for children best to purchase a sunshade which cost €18 per day with 2 sun loungers.
Showers on the beach 2 restaurants also selling drinks ice creams and snacks quite pricey.
Public toilets very close by.
Remember the sea is the Atlantic so it’s not warm it’s cold and quite a lot of waves as it’s windy at times.
This beach is busy and there are a few peddle boats and kayaks to hire also a banana boat ride but unlike most Spanish beaches it’s not over done or crowded.
Recommended for the non ‘kiss me quick’
Brigade.

This nice small beach close to our hotel was picturesque and relaxing. Not too busy. We loved the lower “del Mar” restaurant but unfortunately the chairs and umbrellas were closed “pending inspection” today. I enjoyed laying on beach but my son attracted beach gnats and was not happy.

A really beautiful beach with lots of free parking, accessible and shallow with smooth sand so easier to walk on. Toilets were a bit of a trek across the unfinished car park which isn’t ideal for small kids but they seemed to be laying a path. As a family who aren’t big beach fans, we loved this beach. Make sure to bring your own snacks, drinks and food as wouldn’t recommend o Antonio to rely on

A long stretch of golden and white sands. When we were there twice, the waters were calm. To the right are cliffs with different coloured stratifications. You can walk here from Ponta da Piedade and carry on to Praia da Luz. There is a cafe and a restaurant, toilets were shut at this time of year.

Nice beach but go early if you want to rent sun beds and/or umbrella. We arrived at noon and they were all in use or had been reserved. The sun was super strong, so we regretted not getting there in the morning.

We end up here on a windy day when the win d was blowing from the north.
It was perfect to get some shelter from the cliffs so that the umbrella didn’t blow away.
Our decision, as holiday makers, was confirmed by being on the beach with lots and LOTs of locals. It was busy - but there was still plenty of room, and it was a lovely beach.
Fine sand, clear water, two restaurants near the beach. Water sports. Good toilets. Lots of parking.

We walked here from Lagos town for a yoga class. We arrived a little early and got to enjoy an hour on the beach. We went for a swim in the waves which was really fun, although there was quite a lot of seaweed which isn’t my favourite. Busy beach but not too crowded. Toilet block and beach bar was really handy. Lots of parking too. Beautiful spot to watch the sun go down.

A wonderful beach - busy but not too busy. You can find a decent enough space. Water lovely and refreshing. Great beach bars and a family run restaurant. Really enjoyed visiting this beach.

We had walked around the coast from Ponta da Piedade grutas to explore. We had 🤿 snorkel etc. We walked along the beach to the left towards the boulders at the far end, found a gap and went for a 🤿. Within 50 ft of the beach there was a natural shelf with a lot of sea life worth seeing 😉

Camilo is a lovely restaurant above the beach

What is the best restaurant for lunch in Lagos please? Somewhere looking at the sea preferably.
Thanks.

Not many in Lagos town itself overlooking the sea but along the main beach (sea to your right from Lagos) is Geovarna Branca beach bar/restaurant. Gorgeous food. The Lighthouse restaurant on the Marina is very good and a lovely view of the marina and all the moored boats

`Hi , I wondered if there is good live music and atmosphere out and about and any particularly good day trips in the Praia do Porto de Mos area
Thanks Fran

Probably more action by far in Lagos as this area is rather on sleepy side! Nice long beach and couple of pleasant restaurants. Certainly for boat trips the marina area in Lagos is good and numerous bars. From Porto lots of cliff top walks. Assuming you have access to a car lots of day trips to mountains Monchique or out west to Cape Vincent. Enjoy!

It's about a 10 minute drive. We really liked staying at the Praia do Porto de Mos as the beach was lovely with 2 nice fish restaurants right on the beach and lovely to walk on the beach at sunset when the tide goes out. We drove into town to do a boat/kayak tour of the grottos and walked about town. One day in town was enough for us. We went on day trips from there to lands end at Cape St. Vincent and Sagres where you can go for magnificent sunsets. We stayed at Apartmentos Magnolia Mar, which was a bit tired but great value and location.

Hi could anybody tell me if there are water sports available in this area such as jetskis parasailing or kayaks even.
Thanks
