Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most awful place we've ever visited. Filthy and in need of repair. In the farm section the chickens were pecking each other raw from boredom and lack of enrichment. It's 90% birds, and they are all demented with lack of space. It's depressing and heartbreaking and I dont recommended supporting it or visiting it in any way.

The entrance fee is not exactly cheap. A beautiful zoo, nice design, lots of places to sit and a few exotic specimens...with a snack bar. We couldn't go to the restaurant outside, we were asked to leave quite rudely because they were closing...we weren't even asked, even though we just wanted something to drink.

A great zoo experience for all age groups. A family trip of three generations of which all really enjoyed the zoo and all it has to offer. Perfect for a half days entertainment although there is a swimming pool and sandy beach area should you wish to make a day of it. Our grandchildren did use the pool & beach which was great.
Would recommend this attraction and encourage support.

The swimming pool is great (but deep) ,there was a lot of ice cream stalls & the restaurant food was large but luckily yum. Don’t expect everything you see on the leaflet to be exact because it’s not, the beach looks better on the leaflet. The tortoise near the entrance was walking in circles which might indicate it was stressed. I also saw a man stroke the tortoise which shouldn’t be allowed in my opinion. There are not many obvious signs to stop people doing things that would bother the animals. I did find that lots of the animals were in the same enclosure which was a good thing. Overall it was a pretty good zoo which has pros and cons, I would go again .

Innovative owner, caring and inspired. Animals well cared for and always happy. Grounds inviting and well kept. I have not seen the Penguin pool yet, but know it will be fantastic. Visit all year round, always something to see.

Great for spending a day with the family! There is, right at the entrance, a small artificial beach, with sand and a swimming pool, excellent for taking a dip and sunbathing! The animals seem well cared for and the route is quite pleasant, with a lot to see, although it could be better marked!

The zoo is not well maintained and the animals are all in very small enclosures. I felt depressed walking around looking at all the animals more than anything. I'm sure that kids would enjoy seeing the variety of animals that the zoo does have but overall it appears there is just a lack of funding for the zoo and it's been lost over time.

I'm a very big zoo fan but, with this zoo it shows a lack of animals that are zoo animals (too many birds). It also shows a expensive price for what you see, it is to small and the petting zoo could do with a few animals to pet, I'm very disappointed, wouldn't recommend it.

Never in my life met such a rude staff member in reception. I showed tickets on my phone beacuse I booked them online. Woman very impolite said that she has to get paper tickets. Maybe next time I will take a printer with me on holidays. Arogantly gave me an email so I could forward vouchers. She destroyed my visit please invest in trainings for customer service it is not so difficult to use words good morning, good bye, please and thank you...

I understand that it is not easy to keep such places, that caretakers are expensive that the food and animals health is a pain. But 12 € per adult and 8 € per child (4-16) is way to much for an 1 hour visit. And they even have the guts to ask for 1 € to feed the Koy Carps or the Midget goats, are you joking?
It's always fun to see some animals but the price to pay is to hight. A Zoo of Lagos is just a way of saying it because we had to travel a couple of kilometers to reach it and find no proper parking place. I love the Gorilla statue facing the entrance gate ;)
