We wanted to findo the next beech along from our resort and via Google maps found this. We arrived from and parked on the Carvoeiro side. There is another dirt car park if coming from the other direction. We descended steps that seem to end...More

found this beach doing a coastal boat tour and the entrance is a small stairway in the rock to a beautiful golden beach with clear water and FUN for teens to jump off the cliffs, there was lots of parking and not crowded

Loved this beach. Nice breeze and not too busy. About 200 steps down and access to the beach thru the cliff. About 15 mins walk over the cliff to Benagil

During short trip to Carvoeiro we stopped here for an afternoon. Only 2nd beach we experienced in the area (other was the main beach of Carvoeiro). We enjoyed the soft sand with minimal shells and took pleasure in dips in the quite clear but fairly...More

This beach with the shape of a horse shoe (hence its name?) is quite famous in the area. Protected on 3 sides by high cliffs, you access to it via a staircase directly dug in the rocks. Amazing experience!

This is bang near town centre so just a brief walk onto the sands. Quite strong shore pull by the sea so not really a swimming beach but lovely spot to stroll before or after lunch or ice cream.

Visited with 2 small children (10 months and 2 years) lots of steps but managable. Shaded areas in the morning and the beach was quiet. Started to get busier at midday and not much shade left. Lovely and clean and boys loved the ‘secret’ entrance...More

Lots of steps to get there and uneven steps down through the cave tunnel, but well worth the effort. Secret smallish beach. Ridges and caves to explore Lovely

Very clean beach and picturesque when viewed from the cliffs on either side. Lifeguard on duty in the summer but the beach then gets very busy.

hi, before you land to the beach, you should see how high or low sea is. it takes few hours for the sea to breath in and out.
