A very special place to visit, especially if you take the boardwalk from the centre of Carvoeiro, but if I'm honest the food isn't anything special. Everyone should go at least once if only for the ambience.

Stunning location. Breathtaking views, surrounded by lovely walks. Decent menu, caters well for lunches and children’s food. Service can be slow and it took a while to get the bill. Would definitely recommend this bar and beauty spot

Really tasty food, had seabass and squid between us, really good tasty food!!! I wonder if it misses the main hunt for people looking for lunch but you would do well to give it a try!

This place is fantastic for both families with older children and also for younger children. If you are a little more adventurous, the cliff jumping is brilliant and even my 9 year old loved it. For those who love to snorkel, there is a little...More

The boardwalk at Algar Seco is free and there are clifftop walks beyond the Boneca bar. The walk down the hill into Carvoeiro has lovely sea views all the way - but it is a steep walk back! While in Carvoeiro, it is worth... More

Yes Ferraguda is worth a visit. There a regular water taxi from there to Portsmouth. Just 10 minutes travel but we'll worth it. Benajil is also close by with a huge cave you can explore
