Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had not been for a few years and glad to see it is still as busy post covid times. Gets very busy so advisable to book before having to climb back up all those steps.

Great situation at one end of the boardwalk, handy for visiting the caves and blowhole too. Only had drinks this visit, but they were getting busy for lunch (coals heating on the barbecue) and the menu looked good.

Couvert and drinks with a view. We walked up to Algar Seco to take in the great view and rock formations and stopped here just for a snack. It's a very nice restaurant and doesn't really do snacks but we had the couvert with ewes/cows milk cheese and some sardine paste. A large beer, by that I mean 40cl or caneca, if you order a large you might get the comedy litre stein for €10.00. (I may or may not have done this with unsuspecting friends in the past). Lovely food, great staff and reasonable prices. A must see.

At the start of the boardwalk along the Algar Seco it is well worth taking a trip down to view A Boneca. We only had to queue for a relatively short time but I suspect that in the baking heat of summer it would be almost unbearable.

Boardwalks in the Algarve take me from wonder to wonder. And today, I discovered another cool spot. From the boardwalk, I walked down to A Boneca not knowing what I would find underneath the towering rock. Much to my surprise, the path led me to two naturally carved out holes (which I really prefer to call windows) that look out to the ocean. What a magical small spot to take pictures of the ocean.

Take the right side staircase and go down. On the rock there is a sign that says a Boneco. It is a short walk through the cliff to the opening. Great photo spot .

Descend to the valley then down the steps to the restaurant and carry on through to the cave.
You can walk into it and come out to a view of the sea.
Well worth a visit.

We came here again after great experiences and were not disappointed. It's a lovely way to spend an evening, easy walking from carvoeiro, beautiful sunset en route, quirky and unique location, food is good at worst and great at best. Anything you can grill really. I found all the staff to be great once again this year, they are all young and I think work well in a very busy environment, they cope great. The cave and rocks are fun for kids and adults alike. I think it's a special place, when all things are considered. Nice walk back to carveiro, little dance in the square, kids and adults all happy! Whats not to like! You must book in the evenings or you'll have a long wait or a wasted walk.

Great place for lunch in a unique location, you are best to book a table as it's very busy. Burger was really tasty with the garlic fries. The barbecue smells are mouth watering cooking fresh fish and steaks. Only criticism is the staff are very slow to serve so sit back with a drink and relax you will be there for a while.
