Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Park in the lot just before the chapel. Visit the chapel and turn west about 50 m to find the stairs down to the beach. Gorgeous smaller beach with views up to the chapel. But about 100 steps down ( meaning 100 steps up!).

A lovely clean beach. A very nice crowd, however please do note that the sea has a steep drop and can have strong currents so small children will need to be watched closely. A tunnel between beaches allows a nice opportunity for exploring!

Walking from Armacao de Pera you can vary your route by walking some on the way along the cliff top path from the beach. Starting at the Holiday Inn the route takes you along the beach and up onto the cliff and past a couple of 5 star hotels before you head back into the urbanization. As with much of the coast of the Algarve Rocha Beach is stunning.

Sandwiched between two cliff outcrops, this beach is beautiful white, with lagoon quality blue sea, which has a shallow incline, so you can walk out quite far before you have to swim. Its a perfect place for a day of sun, sea and sand.

A beautiful quiet beach , if you go though the tunnel hidden in the caves on the right , it takes you to a bigger but more secluded beach .

Approached down steep steps this beach looks stunning. Today it was full of seaweed which meant only a small bit was free for swimming. No facilities so bring everything with you. The view of the old chapel from the cliff top is wonderful, especially near sunset.

The beach at Senhora da Rocha is small but very sheltered. The cliffs surrounding the beach protect you from any breeze and water in the cove is a little warmer than the open beaches. Very nice

We enjoyed a lot this beach during our trip to Algarve, It is quieter and smaller than other beach.
Important to know: you need to go down some steps before reaching it.

The title says it all. This is a lovely beach directly accessed from the Vilarinho Restaurant and Bar where we enjoyed some welcome cold drinks as well as a delicious fish lunch. A superb place to sit on the sand and enjoy the sunshine. There are also boat trips directly from the beach to view the nearby caves.

Located near an excellent beach restaurant the Nossa Senhora da Rocha Beach is a wonderful little place. The most unique aspect of the private cove is the tunnel cut through the cliff that connects the private western cove with the more public eastern beach area. A great place to spend an hour, a day or a week!
