Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love old European cities, and the old centre of Sine did not disappoint. At times you are meandering through narrow cobbled streets, and others you have breathtaking views down to the harbour. Sadly as in many historic towns, many of the buildings are now boarded up and for sale.

Nice place to walk around. Enjoy narrow streets, views from the fort towards the bay and curvy roads which will take you to the Beach.

In a dominant position on the beach, the medieval castle, restored in the 16th century by King Manuel, is the element characterizing the physiognomy of the old city and houses a museum dedicated to Vasco da Gama. A modern statue of the great navigator looks out to the ocean.
In the surrounding area there are strips of sandy coast, enchanting rocky beaches and fascinating lagoons.

It is difficult to understand that you are in a historic center. Sleazy town and dark and poorly frequented streets in the evening.
There are few restaurants and they don't offer anything special. It's fine as a transit place but for no more than one night. Total desolation.
Lots of people crowding the main beach without realizing that behind the beach there are refineries and power plants! I expected better.

Also a major port but the town itself is a cute & quaint place with it's own Castle , Santa Missa Church, Vasco Da Gama Birthplace & Beach and free plus clean public WC's !! A good find on our coastal travels to spend an hour or two enjoying !

The problem is in its main streets, as excessive road traffic creates motorized noise pollution and minimizes natural sounds. passage and municipal cleaning, garbage collection and others, have cleaning and combating vandalism as an effect without policing by the local police authority, in the future the installation of commercial units and their terraces should be installed as a spaced distance to create an emergency corridor , service and cycling, should be the main pedestrian mobility, between one and a half meters to two and a half meters for the width of vehicles will evaluate the distance spaced and will gain in the new safety for children to be able to play in their streets .
