A truly unique experience. Words are not enough to truly express it all. More than visit a Museum, is to share a love story. Two generations love for watches being shared, mesmerising visitors by the diversity and uniqueness of its collections. Not only watches are being exposed they actually do the extra mile and have skilled craftsman that restore watches.... More

While on an overnight stop in Serpa, we visited the Museum which is located in a small lane near to the Tourist information office just of the Praca da Republica. In its 5 or so rooms, is an amazing collection of watches and clocks from all over the world. Pride of place is an Edward East clock from the 17th... More

We spent a very pleasant two hours looking over the 2000 watches and clocks they have on display. The staff were on hand to give you the history of the museum. Well worth the €2

It's well worth a visit to Serpa just to see the watch museum but actually Serpa itself is quite nice anyway. It's famous for its cheeses and lamb. The museum itself has a very helpful assistant who is able to tell you all sorts of things about the timepieces. My husband was thrilled when he realised they have a Breguet... More

A spectacular collection of time capturers. Stroll around the narrows streets and find the result of a long persuit for capturing time in small machines

Museu do Relógio is a small museum for watch lovers. They have more than 2,000 mechanical watches, dating back from 1630 to today. Very close to the main square in the historical centre of Serpa, this is a place you have to visit if you're in Alentejo. And they have recently opened a new branch in EVORA. Brilliant (http://www.museudorelogio.com)
