We came across this lovely church as we walked through Elvas after walking around the fortifications. Although it was quite small, the chapel was beautifully decorated, and it was a calming place to rest

The convent is small and charming. The tiles are very beautiful and amazing. Be sure to check when it is open so that you can fit it in during your visit to Elvas.

This church is not as well-kept and preserved as many others in Portugal. It just seems old and tired. Nevertheless, the views from the tower are very pretty and worth the climb to see. A very friendly docent gave us lots of information about the...More

This tiny chapel, with the internal octagonal walls covered in beautiful tile work, offers you an option to climb to its top, where you'll have nice views from citadel. Very nice!

Very small chapel and easy to miss. Interesting, small and in some areas in need of repair but still with a visit.

One room, tiles everywhere, an odd shape and good for a quick peek. Nothing to travel exclusively for to see, but a nice stop on the way to other sights in the area. Free city maps provided inside (at least as long as they are...More
