The small museum is interesting, and there is also a nice little cafe, and a small section to purchase souvenirs. The tour of the signal box can be arranged for a £1 donation, and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have visited twice now, and have been made most welcome on both visits. Only downside is that Albert... More

As my son in law and young grand-son had visited, he recommended that we should also. So on Saturday my adult son and myself thought we would spend 30 minutes or so to see what was in the museum etc. Well two hours or more later we left having thoroughly enjoyed our time both in the small museum and also... We visited here whilst we spent a day travelling the island line train and were so glad we stopped. The staff (especially Carole) in the centre/tea room were very friendly. We paid the £1 each to visit the signal box with George which was money well spent, he was friendly, knowledgable and very passionate. We thought we'd only be here... More

Great little place to visit. Takes you back to the days when the railways ruled. A signal box tour is also available, or try the tea rooms. All run by voluntary staff.

Didn't really know that this place existed but we were on a train and I saw a sign saying that the signal box was open for tours. My son had a go at pulling some signals and we found out later that the man showing us was the last man to work the signal box in 1988. There was a... More

What can I say? Previous reviews have said it all. Not a lot to do or see in Brading so this little station was a couple of hours well spent. Well done to the volunteers who keep it going.

The highlight for me was looking over the restored signal box with a very knowledgeably guide. The main museum was very interesting. Shame about the coffee.

Well done to the volunteers, who give their time. Good café and museum. You can spend as little or long time as you want here, include a signal box visit (well worth it) and you will be here over an hour. Watch the opening hours.

I went to the visitor centre to discover the island railway history, it is an interesting place. I decided to see the inside of the signal box (£1 fee), it was well worth it, all the levers are still in place and signalling machines, it was explained how everything worked, a worthwhile place to visit, recommended.

Myself and the wife to be have come to the island before, we decided to take a gamble at Brading instead of Sandown on our annual foot passenger trip, while there was hardly anything to do in Brading, this little station won't disappoint, for those into railway history like myself, the mini-museum is brilliant, contains a lot the stations past,...
