We enjoyed our visit to Brading immensely! It's obviously run by people who love and believe in what they're doing, and that makes a huge difference. It's well presented in ways that are appropriate to different age groups, with lots of imaginative, colourful ways for children to engage. In winter months, wrap up warm though. Even though the villa remains are... More

Went here as an activity for a day of bad weather and was not disappointed. The mosaics were fascinating and definitely the highlight of this attraction. The concentration of mosaics was at the far end of the room and although the rest was interesting that was definitely the best part. There seemed to be lots of hands on activities for... More

This was quite pricey to get in and you think initially there isn't much to it as it is basically one room - however it took us over an hour to walk round due to all of the information available! The preservation was remarkable and the information constant and interesting.. The café was the most reasonably priced café we found... More

We found this wonderful place that was so much bigger than we expected. The lottery Grant has done wonders here. The Roman villa is the biggest we have seen and the mosaic fantastic. We had a lovely informative lady explain it all too us which made what we saw so much more interesting. Food activities for children. Lovely cafe area.... More

Called in for lunch a few months ago, it was somewhere I hadn't been for years and it was a pleasure to go. The lunch was lovely and tasty and well presented, thoroughly enjoyable. Pleanty of room to park which is a bonus in the summer.

We had complimentary tickets to Brading Roman Villa from our hotel but would be more than happy to pay the modest admission charge on a return visit. The day was bitterly cold, which meant we didn't explore outside to the full extent. On arrival we were met by Steve, a personable and very knowledgeable volunteer guide. He gave us a... More

Excellent mosaics of Roman villa housed within modern museum. Volunteer guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable and took time to explain everything. The cafe was very pleasant too and we enjoyed our lunch prior to the visit and tea afterwards. Well worth a visit.

A superb place. friendly, welcoming, and staffed by a guide who was both knowledgeable and passionate about the villa. The excavations and displays are clear, thoughtful and educational. A real glimpse of history.
