There are a limited number of graves here. Of particular interest for New Zealanders is that the nine first Maori casualties are buried here.

Moving and beautiful landscape. Recommend a walk all along the old city wall. Stunning views and very relaxing.

The Ramparts Cemetery overlooks the river as do the Maori soldiers who are resting there. As always, a beautifully kept cemetery.

Stopped by on our ramparts walk and found it to be a peaceful location looking over the water. Though not essential it's worth a visit!

we took a short stroll along the ramparts of Ypres and came to the peaceful Ramparts Cemetery which I believe is the only CWGC cemetery within the walls of the city.

A small war cemetery at the edge of Ypres set on the riverbank on a small hill. Beautiful peaceful cemetery that you can just pause and watch the river meandering by.

Set on the walls with a view over the canal, the setting is very tranquil and well worth a visit, on a fine day the walk along the ramparts is very relaxing.
