Sadly the museum is closed, exhibits sold to other museums. It was, in my opinion, one of the best little museums in the Ypres Salient. Sad that is has gone.

In July/August 2017 we visited the Ramparts Museum and Bar on three separate occasions, but it was closed on each occasion. We visited it years ago and found it had a good Museum and good food. It would help if the opening hours were displayed...More

The pub is still well worth a visit. After a stroll along the ramparts you can reward yourself with a 'peace beer' a palatable little drink, although most of the UK microbreweries would leave it standing!

If you have relatives who were killed in the Wars, their name will follow you around the Museum. This is the most stunning Memorial to those who were killed in the Wars. Suitable for School Age and over. A must see.....

Superb and not well known, but well worth dropping in here. Not far from the Ramparts cemetery either and a great little cake shop opposite!
